Course description
Aquatic Rope Rescue Technician focuses on the use of rope systems in aquatic and moving-water rescue environments.
The course is intended for responders who already possess foundational rope rescue knowledge and need to apply those skills around rivers, flood zones, embankments, channels, and other water-related hazards.
Training includes anchor selection, rope-assisted access, tensioned systems, controlled crossings, rescuer protection, casualty movement, quick-release considerations, and the interaction between rope systems and moving water.
This course complements, but does not replace, comprehensive rope rescue technician training.
